O'Gara also employs Action Targets reactive steel target systems (hardened 500 Brinell) in our tactical training. The characteristics of the Action Target 'PT Torso and PT Static' plates make them ideal for tactical training scenarios. The Action Targets PT Poppers are reactive, knockdown targets providing instant feedback in tactical firearms training. Likewise, our Action Targets 'dueling tree' permits head-to-head competition between shooters, testing speed, accuracy and manipulation skills (i.e. malfunction drills and reloads).

Additionally, we employ a mobile 'running man' moving target system designed and constructed by MGM Target Systems. This portable battery powered system can be moved to any of our five (5) ranges, and permits our instructors to include moving targets in any tactical scenario, indoors or out (using live rounds or Simunition®).

Simunition®

O'Gara and its firearms instructor cadre are trained and certified Simunition® instructors, enabling us to legally purchase; responsibly and professionally instruct and employ these unique marking cartridges.

Currently, O'Gara offers the following Simunition® gear and adequate marking cartridges stored to support the first year of training specified by the PSD/MRE quotation. Twenty (20) sets of Personal Protective Equipment; six (6) Simunition® kits for the M-4 carbine; six (6) Simunition® kits for the Beretta M-9; and, six (6) Simunition® kits for the Sig Sauer P228 are on hand at O'Gara - SSI.
